Uses of anemone
Anemones are mainly used as ornamental flowers for gardens. Their flowers are different colors depending on the variety, we find white, red, blue or purple. The anemone thus makes it possible to produce pretty flower beds or beautiful multicolored borders, the species being able to be mixed for an impression of longer flowering.
Cultivation and maintenance of the anemone
After having immersed the anemone's tuberous roots in water in order to soak them well (24 hours at most), they should immediately be planted in well-drained soil composed of a mixture of soil and compost. Plant the bulbs at a distance of about 25 centimeters from each other and take care not to pack the soil too much, neither under the bulb nor above, to allow the roots to spread out well. It is then necessary to water the whole well. Be careful not to water the anemones that bloomed in the spring in summer, so as not to rot the feet.
