Characteristics of thyme
Thyme, a condiment plant native to the Mediterranean basin, comes from the lamiaceae family. This aromatic plant has a persistent, green foliage, and gives very small pink, white or even purple flowers, rich in essential oils. Thyme, planted in a vegetable patch, in a rock garden or even in a pot, can reach a little over thirty centimeters. Today there are over 300 species of thyme.
